Holiday Decorating
Hey My Sweet Bloggy Friends,

I don't know about you, but I'm ready to begin my holiday decorating. Perhaps it's because the weather is cooling off or perhaps I'm just goofy. Whatever the reason I'm ready to begin decking the halls!!!

How about you? Are you in the mood to get your home ready to welcome family and friends?

Traditionally I have decorated my house on Remembrance Day - Nov 11th, because I used to be employed by the City and we always had that day off. Guess that would be tomorrow :o)

I enjoy the decorating once it's up, but find it such a HUGE job each year. Today I was at a friends home for a meeting and she had all her Christmas decorating finished - her house looked so lovely.

I DID however have the first Christmas CD of the season playing on Saturday, and we have tickets for 3 upcoming Christmas specials - "O Holy Night" with David Phelps (at our church), the Tran-Siberian Orchestra Christmas Concert and "Once Upon a Holy Night" - a musical production at our church.

Jesus is the Reason for EVERY Season!

I usually decorate the day after Thanksgiving and take down the day after Christmas. This year will be tricky and I am approaching it with lots of anxiety. This is the first year apart from my husband. It is hard because the boys still want us together.
I am trying to get them thinking about the things important to them. New traditions and remember the reason, not all the extra stuff.
I would appreciate your prayers bloggers. Just the thought of it brings tears. I think of our whole life and the memories of all our holidays spent in this home. God hears my fears and calms my tears.
Maybe I will get some good old fashion baking going on. Any takers on the finished product?
Thanks,
Diane
